The Build Your Own Game (BYOG) Jam, a 48 hour long game jam organised by GameDev.in is set to take place in a few weeks, between the 25th and 27th of October.
As stated on their website, the aim of the jam is “to encourage game development in and from India.”
Ten shortlisted topics have been put up on the site to be voted on by the public, the top three of which will be chosen as themes for the jam. Participants will then have to choose from one (or more) of the themes to build their games around, and submit their games within the 48 hour window.
All participants that submit games to the jam will receive discounts on tickets to the NASSCOM Game Developer Conference held in Pune on the 15th and 16th of November, and the top 10 shortlisted games will be given space at the expo to show off their games, along with complementary passes for the event.
The prizes for the winners of the jam are as of yet unannounced.
The jam welcomes anyone interested in making games. You can register, or just get to know more about what’s going on here.
